Avoid the following for one week prior to treatment in order to reduce bruising and swelling:
anti-inflammatory medications (such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil), aspirin, ginseng, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish oil supplements, garlic, flax oil, vitamin A, vitamin E and any other essential fatty acids.
Avoid the following for 4 hours after treatment:
rubbing or massaging the treatment site, wearing a hat or a headband, bending forward, straining, heavy lifting, vigorous exercise, resting your head or lying down.
