Avoid the following for one week prior to treatment in order to reduce bruising/swelling:
anti-inflammatory medications (such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil), aspirin, ginseng, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish oil supplements, garlic, flax oil, vitamin A, vitamin E and any other essential fatty acids.
For 24 hours avoid the following:
aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil) strenuous exercise, sun exposure/heat exposure/tanning beds, alcoholic beverages, massaging/pressing areas treated, extreme cold temperatures, sleeping on your face.
